The Chinatown Remixed collective presents its fourth annual art festival on Somerset Street West. As in previous years, the exhibits take place in unexpected and diverse places along the street, with original art appearing in grocery stores, restaurants, hair salons, opticians, laundromats and more.
The grand opening and mass-vernissage on May 12 will feature artists, performances, live music, DJs, chalk drawing, and lots of great food from participating restaurants. Artists will be on hand at their venues to answer questions and discuss their work. Art Walking Tour maps will be available throughout the festival route.

The theme of World Storytelling Day 2012 is Trees and the Ottawa Storytellers will host a Forest of stories! The story-listening community is welcome to attend the concert of vocal art of 7 storytellers and one musician, and then participate in a pot-luck of finger foods, surrounded by visual art pieces made of and about trees by Susan Rennick Jolliffe and Rozemarijn Oudejans.
